“Fortis Fortuna Adivuat” has a literal meaning, “The strong ones, fortune helps.  More widely known as “Fortune Favors the Brave.”  Cited by Cicero in the 1st century B.C. as a Vetus Prōverbium (“old proverb”).

• Obverse: A skull holding a knife between its teeth, covered by a hooded shroud, and a butterfly resting to the lower right, surrounded by a decorative curled banner below, bearing the words “FORTIS FORTUNA ADIVUAT.”

• Reverse: Large Intaglio Mint logo surrounded by plain border reading “TWO TROY OUNCES” above and “.999 FINE SILVER,” flanked by mintage year “2023.”
