    Description

    In the Bible, the story of David and Goliath is told in 1 Samuel 17. In the story, Goliath, a Philistine giant, challenges Saul to send a man to fight him for 40 days. David, a shepherd, volunteers to fight Goliath and defeats him with a sling and a stone. David then runs over Goliath and pulls out his sword to cut off his head.
    The story is a tale of courage, faith in God, and duty. For Christians, the story symbolizes how God protects people and is on their side. David’s defeat of Goliath makes him a hero to the Israelites and eventually leads to him becoming king.
