Description

Dulce Periculum is a Latin phrase, usually translated into English as “Danger is Sweet”. The expression comes from Horace, Odes III, 25, 16.  It is also the motto of the Scottish clan MacAulay.

• Obverse: A skeleton dressed in a military style uniform and helmet, with arms crossed, one hand holding a revolver, the other holding a semi-automatic hand gun.  Ammo in a radius behind, with the words “DULCE PERICULUM” around the upper circumference and dog tags hanging from either side.

• Reverse: Intaglio Mint logo set on radial burst surrounded by stippled border reading “TWO TROY OUNCE” above and “.999 FINE SILVER” below on textured background, flanked by mintage year in roman numerals “MMXXII”.
