This 2025 silver round revives the classic design of the U.S. Mint’s Franklin Half Dollar, now struck in .999 fine silver. Measuring 30mm and containing a full half troy ounce of pure silver, it features Benjamin Franklin’s iconic profile on the obverse, paired with the Liberty Bell reverse—just as it appeared from 1948 to 1963.

Obverse: The obverse of the Franklin Half Dollar features a right-facing portrait of Benjamin Franklin, designed by John R. Sinnock. Above Franklin’s head is the word “LIBERTY”, arching along the top rim. The motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” is inscribed in a straight line along the bottom edge. To the right of the portrait, just inside the rim, is the date “2025”. The overall design is simple and uncluttered, emphasizing Franklin’s distinctive profile with strong lines and minimal ornamentation.

Reverse:  The reverse features a stylized Ionic column forming the letter “T” at the center, representing Intaglio Mint, with “INTAGLIO” above, “MINT” below, and “EST. 2010” beneath the column. A dotted border surrounds the central design, while the outer rim bears the inscriptions “ONE HALF TROY OUNCE” at the top and “.999 FINE SILVER” at the bottom, separated by stars. A final ring of stars encircles the entire design, giving the piece a balanced and classic look.
